Music Festivals & Parties

by | Jul 27, 2015

I am a music festival junkies and travel around the world based on which music festival I want to attend and where. In fact, this is how I met my partner many years back – in a PsyTrance music festival in Thailand!

My craziest music festival year was in 2016 because that’s when I attended eight music festivals in different countries. Things have changed ever since I’m a mother so I now pick quality over quantity. Needless to say, my favorite travel souvenir is my collection of music festival bands.

Disclaimer: Just because I attend music festivals, doesn’t mean that I participate in intoxicants. I do it for my love of music, celebration of life, and to meet my festival friends. Yes, perhaps I’m the most sober person in a festival with just a beer or two in the system.

Here’s the thing – I don’t just attend any music festival. In fact, I will NEVER attend festivals like Tomorrowland and Coachella because they are overly commercialized and have too many people.

I pick smaller festivals where organizers make an effort to reduce the visitors’ carbon footprints. Environment friendly is the way to go!

My preferred music genre for music festivals is psychedelic music. From psychedelic rock to psychedelic trance, I like it all. I enjoy forest psytrance, dark psytrance, Hi Tech.. but can also enjoy ambient trance when in the mood for Yoga.
